0800 numbers are well known in the UK as costing nothing for the inbound caller. The cost of the call is incurred by the receiver.

So in what cases would a company use this type of number if it is costing them money? The main reasons are primarily because more people contact them and so more sales come in for the company.

Many different organisations are asking for 0800 numbers to be made free to mobiles as well as landline phone which if you think about it makes perfect sense.

0800 numbers are non-geographic and so not associated with any particular location. This enables the business to target customers in and around the UK on a national level.

Good quality of communication is the cornerstone of every buisness, especially startups, and the calls are easily transferable.
